The Italian company “Science Park IRBM” considered that the effectiveness of its vaccine against the emerging coronavirus in the clinical trial phase will mean that the serum production process should be launched by late September.
“If the vaccine under trial against the emerging coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is proven to be effective, and in the event of obtaining a vaccine,” said IRBM,
the chief executive of the company, based in Pomezia, south of Rome, Pietro de Lorenzo,
Approval by the international monitoring authorities, it should start production by the end of next September.
De Lorenzo explained that “one product cannot meet the global level”, and for this reason “an agreement has been signed with the multinational AstraZeneca.”
